Sandon College & Boarding School

Sandon College & Boarding School
********************************

The Sandon Boarding College is an elite, East Coast boarding school for boys and girls. It is isolated, away from any cell phones, without television reception.

Entry into The Sandon almost guarantees an Ivy League or equivalent, prestigious education. Only the wealthiest, most well-connected boys and girls, and a handful of scholarship winners, attend The Sandon. The students and families, though are also carefully selected. Everyone at the Sandon has a connection with a secret or a hidden guilt.

The Sandon accepts 50 students per year, has 24 teachers, 2 janitors, a nurse, a secretary and a Principal. It has a sex ratio of 60/40 girls to boys. It is also a recruiting location for the Satin Circle.

Every year between four and eight girls are selected, after having been watched for their entire time at the collecge, for their beauty and their susceptibility to the Sandon's special training regime....

The Satin Circle

The Satin Circle from Sandon 2 is the same one that appears in the Celluloid Souls story. It is a secret, international criminal organization. Initially the Satin was specializing in the trade of female flesh, especially on providing specially trained upper class girls to wealthy perverts. Sexually exploiting, degrading, and using women was the Circle speciality; Sandon was one of its main recruiting and training points.

Later on, the Circle became bolder, extending a thread of blackmail and domination, and enlarging its activities to include drugs and weapon trading.

The Circle expanded with exponential speed thanks to its unique method of recruiting and internal power structure. Members can be co-opted in through a secret voting procedure; power relationships are maintained through a network, with strange effects as non-transitive power situations. Members know only their immediate neighbors and are forbidden to seek contact unconnected members; they have life-or-death powers on subordinates (a vote on three members is required to issue assassination instructions) - a power rarely used, since accepted members know their place well, and unjustified elimination of Circle members brings a quick reward. Even the name itself is unknown outside its members, although many others, who may know a bit of its secrets, refer to it as the Organization, or the Circle.

OOC notes
:
The Circle will be played as an ultimate power structure. Essentially, sub/victims should be out of it. Non-members that plan a confrontation with the circle are invited to check their story beforehand (or to accept a quick, although possibly fun, character termination). Circle members should collaborate with each other; the power relation is to be played lightly (in fact given the circle structure one's subordinate could very well become one's supervisor in the next scene, especially if this contributes to the narration).
